17. The Studio / Das Atelier.

As the therapy available from trained personnel was less than satisfactory, I resorted to helping myself best as I could and spent almost every evening (and sometimes part of the days) in the painting studio of the psychological department.

Also, I wrote down everything that came to mind, not the least of which were some cynical short stories about the clinic's personnel. I will not publish them as they were written in the anger of the moment and are largely unfair. But, hey, it allowed me to vent and - together with the paintings - proved to be very therapeutic.


Da die durch ausgebildetes Personal erhältliche Therapie unbefriedigend war, ging ich dazu über, mir selbst zu helfen und verbrachte praktisch jeden Abend (und Teile der Tage) im Malstudio der psychologischen Abteilung.

Ausserdem schrieb ich alles auf, was mir in den Sinn kam, nicht zuletzt ein paar spöttische kleine Geschichten übers Klinikpersonal. Ich werde sie nicht veröffentlichen, weil ich sie in ärgerlichen Momenten schrieb und weil sie grossteils unfair sind. Aber, hey, ich konnte dadurch ventilieren und das erwies sich - zusammen mit den Gemälden - als ausgesprochen therapeutisch.
